GENERAL INFO

Stormin’ Loud will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, on the Great Lawn.

This event is exclusive to the St. John’s community.

Students may bring one guest under a one-to-one entry policy. Guests must be preregistered, as space is limited, and must remain with their St. John’s host at all times.

All ticket holders are required to pick up a wristband prior to entry. Please note, you will not be permitted onto the Great Lawn with just a reservation or ticket.

Gates open at 3 PM.

General admission is free for all current, active St. John’s students.

What is Stormin' Loud?

Stormin' Loud is an outdoor, end-of-year festival with attractions and live performances presented by the Resident Student Association, Haraya: Pan African Students' and the Student Programming Board, Student Government, Inc, and the Stormin' Loud Committee. Check out our “Event Info” page for more details about the event.

When is Stormin' Loud 2026?

Stormin' Loud 2025 will be on Friday, May 1, 2026 starting at 3:00 PM.

Where is Stormin Loud 2026?

Stormin Loud 2026 will be located on the Great Lawn.

Does this event require me to RSVP?

Yes, all attendees must either reserve or purchase tickets prior to the event and must pick up a wristband (according to their ticket purchase) to receive access to the Great Lawn on the day of the event. While students can get free General Admission tickets, there are also a limited number of Purple, Black or Gold VIP packages available for students to purchase as well.

Are tickets transferrable or refundable?

All tickets are non-transferrable and nonrefundable.

Who can attend the event?

Current students, accepted students, and alumni. Invited guests can also attend, but each St. John’s student is only allowed to pre-register and bring one guest (as there is a 1:1 guest policy in effect for this year’s Stormin Loud) and must acquire their ticket & wristband together.

What do I need to attend this event?

Current students –Physical Active storm card, ticket, and wristband.

Alumni – Physical State/Government-issued ID, ticket, wristband

Guests – Physical State/Government-issued ID, ticket, wristband and St. John’s Host

As a St. John’s student, can I bring a non-SJU student to the event with me?

Yes, current St. John's students can purchase one (1) general admission ticket for their invited guest to attend the event with them. Ticket sales take place at Campus Concierge and you will need your guest's full name, date of birth and address.

Can I pick up a wristband for my friend or invited guest?

No, all IDs and Storm cards will be checked to receive a wristband. All students must be present with their physical Student ID (storm card) when picking up their wristband.

How do I get my wristband for Stormin' Loud 2026?

Current St. John students can retrieve their event wristband starting at 10 AM the day of Stormin' Loud at the Operations Check In station. You will need your physical active storm card or ID and ticket confirmation to retrieve your wristband.*

Accepted Students will be able to pick up their tickets from D'Angelo Center 2nd Floor starting at 3 PM.

Alumni can retrieve their event wristband starting at 3 PM. You will need your ID & ticket confirmation to retrieve your wristband.*

*For all alumni, students, and their guests, wristband distribution will end at 6 PM.

What can I bring?

Please see our “banned/non-banned” section for more information on what you can/cannot bring to Stormin Loud.

What happens if I lose my belongings?

Please visit Public Safety (outside of Gate 6) to retrieve any lost belongings. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged wristbands/items.

Will there be food at the event?

Yes! There will be several food trucks and other snacks available at Stormin' Loud. You will need a food voucher to receive a serving from one of our food truck vendors. One voucher is good for use at one food station. One voucher per person – does not apply to a group. Available while supplies last.

Will there be festivities?

Yes! There will be several, a 75 Foot Wheel, Sizzler thrill ride, vendors market, photo booths, live performances from your favorite students and groups, food trucks and more!

Stormin Loud is an end-of-year festival planned & hosted for St. John’s students, by St. John’s students. This event is planned with several rides and attractions, live performances, food, and more, to relieve student’s stress before finals week begins and to provide an exciting and fun experience for the St. John’s community at large. Admission is free! Reserve your ticket at Campus Concierge and make the best out of your student experience.
